The global biodiversity crisis is not getting the attention it deserves. Humans are prone to selfish thinking. We fight climate change seeking to keep the planet hospitable for us. We are prone to reductive thinking. And so, within the battle to arrest climate change, most of the gains are being made on retooling energy systems. We are scoring less well on fronts like public health, education that population growth must be in line with the world's carrying capacity, and ensuring greater environmental justice not just between (but within) countries.
